Teri Sirset is the Co-founder & CEO of DASI Simulations, a medical technology start-up located in Columbus Ohio. Teri has a passion for improving patient outcomes, born out of her father’s very difficult journey as he struggled with heart disease. Through the implementation of the DASI Simulations technology, Teri has found a way to work with physicians and dramatically raise their level of risk awareness and increase the level of safety associated with their very complex cardiac procedures. All of this is accomplished through the breakthrough application of Artificial Intelligence and Computational Modeling technologies. Teri is a high-level sales executive with 25+ years senior management experience in Medical Device Sales and Marketing. Prior to DASI Simulations, she was Vice President of Sales and New Business Development for a start-up company in the cardiovascular and neurovascular space, including a successful exit.
Invented the technology for DASI Simulations and co-founded the company with Teri Sirset in 2019. Dr. Dasi is a leading bioengineer in the field of heart valve engineering with over 16 years of experience with an active and extensive publication record. Previously at The Ohio State University, he is currently running an independent research laboratory at the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Professor of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Dasi has raised over $6M in federal funding towards heart valve research.
Serves as the Chief Operating Officer for DASI Simulations. Sean has over 24 years’ experience as a hospital executive (President, COO & CFO) including serving as a hospital president for 16 years with two different organizations, the University Hospitals system in Cleveland, Ohio, and most recently with Mount Carmel Health System located in Central Ohio. He was also the responsible system executive for the Heart and Vascular service line for a portion of his tenure at Mount Carmel.
Kent is a successful medical surgical executive with several successful start-up medical device ventures including Suros Surgical (sold to Hologic, Inc), Cytomedix, Inc. (listed on AMEX exchange), Corvida Medical Fresenius, Inc pending) among others.
Ann is a highly experienced leader with a proven track record of success in both the business and healthcare sectors. She has over 25 years of clinical experience from working in the Radiology Department at University Hospital and successfully ran her own business for 20 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for developing people and organizations.
Reed McCalmon – Serving as DASI’s VP of Finance, Reed has over 15 years of extensive startup finance and accounting experience. Assisting from idea phase through Series A, Reed has implemented financial practices that ensure Company’s success during growth stages. He has served as Director and CFO for Biotech companies such as Abreos Biosciences – focused on therapeutic drug monitoring of biologic therapies in the autoimmune, oncology, and neurology spaces, and Pareto Bio – a microbiome technology aiming to treat and prevent food allergies.
Serving as DASI’s VP of Sales, Rich has over 25 years of extensive start-up experience with exits to Baxter Healthcare and Cardinal Health. Rich currently is the Principal/owner Aspen Scientific, a sales and distribution company with primary focus in Cardiac and Vascular Surgical products.
